ZHUHAI was listed as one of the Top Ten China Financial Ecological Cities along with Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Chongqing, Jinan, Dalian, Nanchang and Nantong during the China International Financial Forum Annual Conference (CIFF AC 2006) held at the PuDong Shangri-La Hotel, Shanghai, on September 1 and 2.
Hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Shanghai Committee, and the Financial Research Institute of the Development Research Centre of the State Council, PRC, CIFF AC 2006 has been endeavoring to be the most influential financial forum in China. The selection of the top cities, involving the city's economic level, finance development, legal environment, social credit, public service, and independence of financial institutions, was conducted through online voting, finance reporter balloting and examination and approval of financial experts.
