Piped gas coming

    THE Zhuhai Construction Department Gas Office has announced that gas device replacement has begun so that piped gas can be provided in the city. The replacement will be conducted in phases of areas and time periods. As the only licensed operator of the city's piped natural gas, Zhuhai Piped Gas Co Ltd will be responsible for replacing and upgrading liquefied natural gas devices citywide. It will provide one-station professional service for households.
    More than 10,000 piped gas users are registered in the city and nearly 50,000 contracted users are covered in residential areas under construction. By the time the official launching of piped gas comes next year, all gas devices installed in apartments will be upgraded or replaced by the company, the office says. Efforts are being made to qualify urban areas for the use of piped gas by the end of this year.
