Thanks giving or thank Thor?

THIS Thursday in days of yore known as Thors Day is Thanksgiving in America But very few Americans or others in the world know that theyre really giving thanks to a pagan god
Chinese emperors American presidents and leaders throughout history have at least listened to and sometimes followed the advice of astrologers Franklin D Roosevelt was no exception when in 1939 he declared Thanksgiving Day to be celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November then and every year hence
Roosevelt knew that the United States would soon be at war and would have to supply itself and its allies with enormous quantities of agricultural products and manufactured goods and weapons Who better to call upon than Thor aka Jupiter who evolved from a god of agriculture to the protector of the city and state of Rome In his Norse form Thor was protector of peasants and warriors A god of might and war he was all-powerful and fearless
The astrological symbol for Jupiter looks like the numeral 4 with an open top It is no coincidence that Thors Day is the fourth of the weekdays But why did Roosevelt choose the fourth Thursday in November?
He selected that particular date because it ensures that the sun as seen from earth would be in the astrological sign of Sagittarius The sun moves into Sagittarius within a day on either side of Nov 21 every year That particular constellation is ruled by Thor
Thor certainly must have been pleased to observe that American families had gathered in the harvest and were feasting and praying together on his most-special day of the year
After all the prayers were answered
