103 bridges under scrutiny

    EXPERTS from China Road Bridge Corp Bridge Technology Co Ltd are examining 103 bridges in Xiangzhou Doumen and Jinwan districts at the invitation of the Zhuhai Highway Bureau The four-month endeavour is the largest of its kind in city history The focus will be directed at 14 large bridges including Doumen Bridge Nanmen Bridge Nanping Bridge and Nanshui Bridge The outcome of the examinations will be assessed for maintenance and protective steps and suggestions will be given for the timing of the next examination The bridges are in good condition except for some disrepair transfiguration in rubber abutment concrete flake-off and cracks according to examinations of ten so far
