Airshow China 2010 Kicks Off With A New High In Exhibition Size

The 8th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition opened Tuesday in Zhuhai city in south China's Guangdong Province, with a record 600 exhibitors in attendance.Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang announced the opening of the exhibition.

China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (namely Airshow China),is an international aerospace trade show approved by the State Council that takes place biennially in Zhuhai and features flying display. Since 1996, it has been successfully held for seven sessions.

The ongoing Airshow China 2010 has recorded a new high in exhibition size, with a total of 23,000 indoor space, 70 Aircraft in static or fly display at the show, including Airbus A 380, Boeing BBJ, the PLA Airforce “August 1st” Aerobatic Team newly equipped with J10 Fighters and the "Sherdils" aerobatic team of Pakistan Air Force. Concurrently 48 meetings and new conferences have been held during the show days. More than 3000 journalists from 220 media reported the show live on site.

On the opening ceremony, it is also announced that Airshow China 2012 will take place from Nov. 13-18, 2012.
