Airshow China 2012

The 9th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (namely Airshow China 2012) was held in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China, from Nov.13-18, 2012. The show was sponsored by Guangdong Provincial People¡¯s Government, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Air Force of PLA, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd., China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, with Zhuhai Airshow Co., Ltd. as the official organizer. Airshow China is the only international aerospace trade show approved by the State Council that takes place biennially in Zhuhai and features the display of real-size product, trade talks, technological exchange and flying display. Since 1996, the show has been successfully held for 9 sessions and becomes one of the most famous airshows in the world. It is a gateway for international aviation and aerospace enterprises to showcase the latest technology and products in the fast-growing Chinese market. Airshow China 2012 was regarded by industry insiders as the biggest and most successful ever in the show¡¯s history. The show registered 650 exhibitors from 39 countries and regions, with 28,200 sqm of net indoor exhibition space and 113 aircraft on display, including a large variety of business jets and private aircraft. Compared with 2010, the show has achieved a drastic increase in all major figures and facts. The business turnover during the show days hit a new high of 11.8 billion US dollars involving 202 aircraft of various types. On sidelines of the show, there were 63 high-profile forums, press conferences, and contract signing ceremonies, with highlights on China¡¯s booming general aviation market and private aircraft ownership. The show attracted a total of 141 military and trade delegations from abroad and more than 2100 journalists from 228 media, in addition to 108,000 trade visitors and 230,000 public spectators. Airshow China 2014 is to take place from Nov. 11-16, 2014 in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China.
