The 6th Airshow China had entered a higher stage in terms of professionalization, internationalization, scientization and marketalization, which made it the most successful and effective one. There were approximately 550 exhibitors and 52 aircrafts from over 33 countries and regions with the total exhibition space reaching 17,000 sqm. During the show, 42 meetings were held, including summit forums, news release conferences, program signing ceremonies, new product promotions and technical seminars; 15 programs worthy of about 3 billion US dollars were signed while 98 aircrafts of different sizes were sold. There were 90,000 trade visitors and hundreds of thousands of spectators visiting the show. Besides, there were about 210 media units from all around the world reporting the show.

The year 2006 was not only the 55th year of China¡¯s aviation industrial development and the 50th year of China¡¯s aerospace industrial development, but also the 10th year of Airshow China. Compared with the former 5 exhibitions, Airshow China 2006 emphasized the feature of ¡°National Act¡± by improving the managing work. ¡°Made in China¡± had become one of the most attractive topic. Various conferences of high level were held, which were more professional and made more sense. There were more and more high-technology products which representing the newest technology and newest achievement of the world¡¯s aviation & aerospace industry. Those function-displaying flying and the splendid performance of the Russian Air Force "Knights" Aerobatic Team & British "Golden Dream" Aerobatic Team brought entertainment to the exhibition. Yang Liwei, Fei Junlong and Nei Haisheng had been to the exhibition site for three times, showing the elegant demeanour of the contemporary astronasts. The exhibition was more reasonable on the procedures and organizing, which gained a lot of praise from both home and abroad. The arrangement of the trade days provided the exhibitors and trade visitors with a comfortable environment for technical exchange and trade talks.
