With its deepened opening-up policy and sustainable economic growth, China's fast-growing aviation market has attracted worldwide attention. General aviation constitutes an important part of civil aviation and China is now giving priority to this yet-to-be-developed niche market through opening up of low-altitude airspace and favorable policies. According to the 12th Five-year Plan (2011-2015), China will focus on supporting the development of aviation engine, helicopter and general aviation aircraft. In 2010, the State Council and The Military Commission of the Central Committee of CPC released Opinions on Deepening the Reform of China's Low-altitude Airspace Management, a breakthrough in opening up of low-altitude airspace. It is expected that the opening up will cover 7 cities and provinces by 2012, making China's general aviation market the most lucrative in the world.
2011 International Forum On China Business/General Aviation & The 60th Anniversary Series For China General Aviation, sponsored by Guangdong Provincial People's Government, CAAC and AVIC, is to take place from Nov.17-18, 2011, in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. This event, featuring industry forum, site visit, exhibition, project promotion, business exchange and flight demonstration, will review China's general aviation market prospects in an all-round way.
